The CX102 is the entry point into Kawai’s new CX series of affordable digital pianos, combining an authentic touch and tone with modern features that support musical progress at every stage. It features Kawai’s latest Responsive Hammer Lite keyboard action with fully graded keys to encourage proper technique and the development of finger strength.

This action also incorporates advanced hammer-sensing and key-damping technologies derived from Kawai’s CN series instruments, delivering responsive control and quiet, smooth operation—ideal for focused playing and confident practice at home.

This keyboard action is paired with the beautiful, expressive tone of the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX concert grand, reproduced using Kawai’s Harmonic Imaging sound technology. This allows smooth tonal transitions from pianissimo to fortissimo, helping developing players refine their expression and dynamic control.

In addition to the acoustic Shigeru Kawai grand piano sounds, the CX102 includes a wide variety of electric pianos, organs, strings, and other instrument voices, along with Dual and Split modes for added creativity and enjoyment.

Built-in Bluetooth® MIDI and USB-MIDI connectivity make it easy to connect with apps such as Skoove, Tomplay, or Kawai’s PiaBookPlayer, enabling varied and interactive practice sessions. When connected via Bluetooth MIDI, the PianoRemote app further simplifies control and navigation of the instrument’s settings.

Dual headphone jacks enable quiet practice at any time of day—ideal for households where others may be working or relaxing nearby.
